swap: thanks and praise

Last month I participated in the "box swap" over at Create a Connection, hosted by Holli. I'm going to say it, yet again people, I Love Create a Connection.

I want to send a very big "Merci Beaucoup" to Kristin for the most fabulous and wonderful box. Apologies for it taking me soo long to post about it but I'm slowly getting back after my brief hiatus from bloggiland.

Parcel delivery! Pour moi? I was excited because I love surprises and I love a swap. I knew it was going to be good when I saw how "at home" it already looked resting on my post box. Do come in, I said.

Open it up and what do I see. Mmhhh? Ten Thousand Villages . . . . what is this? Beautiful! It's an organisation that helps those in need. It really doesn't get much better than that.

Well maybe a little better. . . chocolate. Yummy! (Once my eyes laid eyes on those sweet little bits I devoured them up. Come on, they were teensy weensy). Delightful RED earrings and a barrette. Right up my alley. I LOVE RED.

*Kristin, you sweet soul sister, I love my little gems and feel so special because you were so thoughtful.

I especially loved the message Kristin included. She explained she had never particiapted in a swap and wasn't the "crafty" type. Well, no worries Kristin, you did a fantastic job and I am ever so pleased.

The following handwritten words were really the heart of my surprise:

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving thanks.

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

God is so good and His word never comes back void. These words brought tears of joy. That little box could have contained just those words and I would have been content. I do feel truly blessed that Kristin and I were connected via the swap. Neither one of us believes in chance and found comfort that He uses us for His purpose.

That's so sweet. I just LOVE packages, big and small! I am expecting one from my Mother that, hopefully, will be here within this week. She made the mistake of telling me that it is on it's way... and now I am anticipating its arrival! Sometimes it's better not knowing. lol
Love the earings (and matching barrette cool), they look like miniature cherry tomatoes. YUM :)

Your swap is amazing.. and so is Kristen. Every single part of it fit together perfectly - and I love how you made it into a little story!!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your happy mail.. and I don't believe in chance either. Those words would have been enough for me as well.

I love Ten Thousand Villages. It's such a great store -- good products and for a good cause. It can't get any better than that.

Kristen taking the time to write out the psalm. What a beautiful gift. Brought tears to my eyes too, so it was a gift twice received.

Getting a parcel is exciting even when you are a grown adult. Getting one from your mom is definitely special, especially when you are living overseas and expecting goodies from home. Nothing like it.

It was special and I LOVE red!

Yes it was great. The small parcel packed a lot of punch.

Yes thank you for hosting and I love "happy mail". Thanks to baby Faith, as I think she helped mommy draw the names. :)

I like your comment. It was GOOD!

The Thinker,
That's neat you know about ten thousand villages. I love the whole concept.

Can't wait to see what Jana gets and also what you receive. Make sure you let me know and CaC too.

I think so too!

I agree whole heartedly.

Thank you.I'm so glad I visited too. I definitely want to hear about Paris. Yes, I think I have to break down and buy some of the documents.

Why of course. The more the merrier. There is a swap every month at CaC. It's announced either the last Monday of the previous month or the first Monday of each month, just depends on how many weeks fall into the month.

Thanks and you are welcome. I am looking forward to your post and what you receive. Your colour was my fave, and the most unique I think.

It was a great surprise and yep the red is yummy. I think Kristin did a swell job with choosing.

Love you! xo
